Do you know to what extent your employees and neighbours are exposed to toxic substances? Are the measures you have taken to prevent exposure to hazardous substances sufficient and compliant? Only regular checks can give you insight into the quality of working conditions. This work has now been entrusted to SGS for more than 100 years. With SGS, you know you are in good hands.

Personal Exposure in the Workplace

To quantify of exposure to hazardous substances we conduct Personal Air Sampling (PAS) measurements. Employees are provided with portable test devices.   PAS provides reliable data that can be compared to official occupational exposure limits applicable nationally or internationally.

Fenceline and Community Measurements

SGS designs, implements and operates monitoring programs to meet a wide range of customer specifications.  Tests range from once-off, single point, single component monitoring to continuous multi-site, multi-parameter, networked systems.  At their most complex, SGS uses real-time computational models to support decision-making and data interpretation.  Our teams around the world are constantly evaluating and reconsidering our approaches to ensure that we specify the most appropriate methods for your situation.

Ambient Air Analysis

Air samples in a variety of formats are analyzed with great care at SGS's accredited environmental laboratories. Our experience ranges from trapping the elusive methane molecule to challenging dioxin interpretation and non-instrumental odour measurements.  With each step - sampling, analysis and reporting - we conscientiously monitor the quality of our service. Because the health and safety of people is close to your heart and ours.
